Popis:	Starvation in tumor-bearing rats results in augmentation of DNA synthesis as measured by tritiated thymidine incorporation into tumor DNA as compared to normally fed tumor-bearing control animals. Liver DNA synthesis fell to 20% of control with starvation. Acute fasting may result in increased tumor growth as reflected by this index.
