Popis: Seriana paraequata Lin & Zhang sp. nov. (Figs 1i–l, 5) Description. Crown pale gray, anterior margin rounded, with small black spot at apex. Eyes blackish. Other external characters as in generic description (Figs 1i, j, k, l). Abdominal apodemes short and slim, only present in sternite III (Fig. 5b). Anal tube long with poorly sclerotized structure (Fig. 5a). Pygofer lobe angled, distal part narrow (Fig. 5a). Dorsal appendage slightly S-shaped curved, tapered towards apex, apex pointed (Figs 5a, c). Characteristics of subgenital plate and style as in generic description (Figs 5a, e, f). Aedeagal shaft tubular, with pair of slim processes arising from middle of shaft, aedeagal shaft narrowing in distal half and suddenly bent near apex in lateral view; gonopore apical; dorsatrium nearly rounded, preatrium curved cephalad (Figs 5g, h). Measurement. Male 2.72mm. Material examined. Holotype: ♁, CHINA, Yunnan Prov., Wenshan, 1770m, 2018.VI.18, coll. Kewei Lv. Remarks. This new species is similar to Seriana equata (Singh), but has the pygofer lobe narrow, the dorsal appendage slightly S-shaped with apex not surpassing the hind margin of the pygofer side, and the aedeagal shaft tapered towards the apex in ventral view, suddenly bent near the gonopore in lateral view. Seriana equata (Singh) has the pygofer lobe broad, the dorsal appendage curved dorsad with apex surpassing the hind margin of the pygofer side, and the aedeagal shaft slightly expanded medially in ventral view, curved ventrad subapically in lateral view. Etymology. This specific epithet is derived from the Latin prefix “ para -” and the species name “ equata ”, referring to similarity with Seriana equata (Singh).
