Tai šeima ir žmogaus teisės, žmogaus asmens kilnumas ir išskirtinumas, tiesos ieškojimas. The authors discuss Mečislovas Reinys’ pastoral activities, present his writings, analyse his scientific study “The Problem of Racism”. These writings cover ethics, philosophy, religion, political topics, Lecture Notes. Unfortunately, they have not yet been studied. M. Reinys’ stance on family authority, integrity and significance of the development of civilization is very important, because this year we celebrate the Year of the Family declared by Lithuanian bishops. M. Reinys’ study “The Problem of Racism” has touched upon issues which are relevant today, when there is an increasing spread of secularist ideology merging with the culture of death. The Archbishop M. Reinys was one of the first scientists who responded to the call of the Pope Pius XI for science to counter the ideology of National Socialism. M. Reinys study “The Problem of Racism” highlighted areas – family, human rights, the dignity of hu¬man person, search for truth – which represent a wide horizon of the 21st century Church’s pastoral work. |
