| Popis: | Birth characteristics of patients who died from cerebral aneurysms and cerebral hemorrhage were compared with those of controls. No differences were found in season of birth, maternal age, birth order, birth weight, mother's residence, parental occupation, or complications of pregnancy. In addition, no familial aggregation was detected. When considered in conjunction with previous pathological studies, these results do not support theories of a congenital etiology of cerebral aneurysms, although they do not rule out prenatal factors unassociated with the variables studied. |
