Popis: Purpose of the research The contribution aims at modelling Airspace Users' (AU) behaviour when facing a choice between different trajectory products (bundles of trajectories that differ in time and space) offered by a network manager. This represents a paradigm shift vs. the current ATM concept of operations. Methodology We use a stated-preference survey to model AUs' behaviour. The survey encapsulates different scenarios, defining the airport-pair connected by a given flight, time of day, criticality of passenger connections, and the possibility of crew duty problems. For different trajectory product discount regimes, the AUs choose one out of several trajectory products. Research findings The survey is distributed to numerous AUs, aiming at capturing their feedback and classifying them according to their business models. With this information, we will gain a better understanding of the decision-making process when introducing a novel concept of trajectory products. Number of responses allowing, a multinomial logit choice-model will be derived and properly calibrated. Contribution The modelling of the AU behaviour under a novel ATM concept of operations is original work as how they would react in this new environment is absolutely unknown. Hence, the contributions of this paper are two-fold: Design a survey in order to capture the AUs potential decisions considering all expected decision criteria and considering that the AUs are not familiar with the new concept of operations Calibrate a mathematical multinomial logit choice-model based on the feedback received.
