Popis: | Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used to qualitatively separate venom glycoproteins from several species of snakes found in the families Crotalidae and Elapidae. Several staining techniques were compared after electrophoresis was carried out at either high or low pH with variations in the concentration of acrylamide in the separation gel. The stained electrophoresis bands showed characteristic similarities in the closely related species of each family. |
