1. ABSTRCICT Instrumental cbservations of banded slicks induced by internal waves in the presence of natural surfactant films are represented for slicks above the internal wave train and the sol i tary wave. Remote measurements of the surface wavenumber spectrum in the centimeter and decimeter regions and contact measurements of the internal wave and the film characteristics were carried out. Theoretical analyses of variability of wind wave spectrum in the presence of internal waves and surface films is made.
