Analytical, IR, IH NMR and mass spectral data indicate that the compounds exist in the intramolecularly hydt·ogen bonded azo-enol tautomeric form. Monobasic tridentate coordination of the compounds in their [ML2] complexes [M = NiII, CuII and ZnII] has been established on the basis of analytical and spectral data. |
