Popis: Haemaphysalis capricornis Hoogstraal, 1966 This is a rare species, so far only recorded from southern Thailand near the Thai-Malaysian border (Hoogstraal 1966; Tanskul et al. 1983; Kolonin 2009). The only known host is the Sumatran serow (Capricornis sumatraensis). The male of this species is described by Hoogstraal (1966).
