The data obtained by office observation of 72 juvenile and 156 adult diabetics while on syringe or bottle mixtures of crystalline insulin and standard protamine zinc insulin have been presented. 2.2. In general, mixtures either extemporaneous in the syringe or premixed in a bottle have proven to be a satisfactory method of administration for those patients requiring both quick-acting and long-acting insulins. 3.3. The data seem to suggest a preference for bottle mixtures. |
