Popis: | Trichosporon are naturally found in external environments and are a part of the normal flora of the human skin, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract. Disseminated Trichosporon infection occurs sporadically in patients with immunodeficiency, and is mainly manifested as blood, urine, catheter, and thorax/peritoneum infections, rarely as lymphatic, liver and spleen infections. Elevated blood eosinophil granulocyte from Trichosporon infection have rarely been reported. Here, we report a rare Case of eosinophilia associated with lymphatic and liver and spleen infections due to Trichosporon asahii in an immunocompetent patient. No reports of eosinophilia from Trichosporon infections other than lung, to our knowledge, have been published. |
