Popis: | EDTA in 5 mM concentration stimulated lipolysis in intact adipose tissue fragments while EGTA was without effect under similar conditions. EDTA did not change the effect of simultaneously added high concentration of epinephrine (5 ug per ml) and potentiated its effect when used in low concentration (0.2 ug per ml). EDTA action on intact adipose tissue was blocked by the same molar concentration of calcium and magnesium. EDTA as well as norephinephrine in two-step procedure were able to stimulate lipolysis in adipose tissue homogenate. This effect, however, could not be neutralized by equimolar concentrations of calcium and magnesium. Higher concentration of calcium and magnesium inhibited the lipolysis and its activation by epinephrine. |
