Popis: | The first report of a traumatic abdominal wall hernia was by Selby’ in 1906. Clain described the presently accepted clinical attributes of traumatic herniae in 1964, and reported 16 cases published in the world literature till then.* Today, this entity remains a rare and interesting consequence of blunt abdominal trauma, with 51 cases reported in the English literature. We report three additional cases of this unusual injury, and review all the previously reported cases. |
