Popis: | A 41-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of renal failure requiring hemodialysis treatment. Renal biopsy revealed active chronic interstitial nephritis. Renal function nearly normalized after removal of a copper-containing intrauterine device (IUCD). We conclude that copper-IUCDs may lead to renal failure in women with copper allergy. |
