Popis: The tourism sector for México is one of the sectors that generate more economic activity occupies the fourth place and is above the construction sector, the chosen sector is focused on hotel companies for their direct treatment of tourists. The methodology used is a brief theoretical review on the construction of job satisfaction, as well as an empirical application focused on a sample of 106 employees of hotel companies of 3 and 4 stars located in northwestern México. Through a Pearson and Spearman correlation and one factor ANOVA, the empirical evidence shows that the elements of job satisfaction and characterization variables of hotel establishments are positively and significantly associated, and job satisfaction differs significantly and positively, with the variables of characterization of the hotel such as the number of employees, number of rooms, rate. The statistical analyzes show that depending on the size of the hotel, it will be the satisfaction of the employees, so this variable is not influenced by the same factors in all.
