| Popis: | Strontium retention was measured in dogs injected with Sr90 by whole-body bremsstrahlung counting. For youag adult beagles 17.7 months old at injection, fractional strontium retention may be expressed as R == 0.68t - 0.21 where t is the number of days after injection. This is slightly less than fractional radium retention measured in beagles of similar injection age at this laboratory. A method was developed in which low levels of Sr90 in living dogs can be determined by bremsstrahlung counting with a standard deviation of less than 0.1 mu c. |
