Popis: Mauryna costatum Martin, 1931 1931 Mauryna costata Martin, p. 38, pl. 5, figs. 12, 12a. Jung 1974, p. 49. = Terebellum (Mauryna) costatum Martin — Jung 1974, p. 49. Type material. Lectotype — Martin 1931, pl. 5, figs. 12, 12a. The length is 24 mm and the width is 8 mm (Martin 1931). Type locality. Java, Indonesia [Priabonian]. Diagnosis. A small shell with an indistinct suture, a teleoconch with three whorls and axial costae. The type material is juvenile. Distribution. EOCENE—Priabonian— Indonesia Kali Puru, Java (Jung 1974). Remarks. The illustration of the lectotype in Martin (1931) is of poor quality, being immature and crushed. At present, the validity of M. costatum Martin, 1931 is in doubt, but it differs significantly from Mauryna plicatum in location and time period. It is these differences that assist in understanding the global radiation and evolution of Mauryna.
