Popis: | SummaryIt may be concluded from the present studies that diphenylhydantoin interferes with the neural stimulus that is responsible for the discharge of the hypophysiotrophic principles necessary for the release of ovulating hormone from the adenohypophysis. Artificial stimulation of the medial preoptic area in the DPH-blocked rat is capable of provoking the release of ovulating hormone. Subsequent peripheral interference with the ovulatory process, sites undetermined, occurs only with the use of the higher dose of diphenylhydantoin. |
