Popis: The delivery and activation of photosensitizers in a specific manner is crucial in photodynamic therapy. For an antitumoral application, it can confine the photodynamic action on the cancer cells, thereby enhancing the treatment efficacy and reducing the side effects. We report herein a novel supramolecular photosensitizing nanosystem that can be specifically activated in cancer cells and tumors that overexpress epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
