Plasmon in dispersive nodal line semimetal

Popis: We studied the plasmon mode of a nodal line semimetal with two-dimensional Dirac electron energy bands and the long-range three-dimensional Coulomb electron–electron interaction within the random phase approximation. We investigated the influence of the interband electron–hole excitations on the plasmon mode by analyzing the energy-loss function. Our calculations showed that the spectral weight of the plasmon mode diminished as it entered into the interband electron–hole continuum. As long as it stayed below this continuum, it was spectroscopically observable within the long-wavelength limit.
