Popis: | A rapid, direct method for determining the partial nucleotide sequence of large subunit ribosomal RNA was adapted and applied to a group of helminth parasites. Small samples of total, unfractionated cellular RNA isolated from each organism were analysed and the nucleotide sequences of equivalent portions of the large subunit ribosomal RNA compared. The data obtained were used to construct a phylogenetic tree showing the evolutionary relationships within this group of organisms. |
