Popis: Two fatty acid styryl amides, edonamides A ( 1 ) and B ( 2 ), were isolated as the first secondary metabolites from the recently described myxobacterial genus and family Aggregicoccus edonensis . Their molecular structures were elucidated using extensive HRESIMS and NMR analyses. Since edonamides A ( 1 ) and B ( 2 ) did not show inhibitory activity against different bacteria, fungi, and cell lines a role as signaling molecules in the life cycle of myxobacteria seems possible.
