Popis: The aim of our study was to determine the effect of the decrease in the activity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in patients with combination of RA and resistant hypertension (RH) on structural and functional features of the heart after 12-month therapy, including angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, calcium channel blocker, diuretic, spironolactone, statin, and immunosuppressant (methotrexate). Materials and methods. We examined 60 patients (mean age, 67.0 ± 8.0 years; 52% of them were women) with RA in combination with RH after 12 month of treatment (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, calcium channel blocker, diuretic, spironolactone, statin, and methotrexate), who were divided into two groups : A - reached the target value of low laboratory activity of RA (C-reactive protein (CRP)
