Popis: | Cross reactivity between the haemagglutinin and neuraminidase antigens of the A/England/42/72 and A/Hong Kong/68 viruses was studied by examining sera from subjects naturally infected with either virus or immunized with England/42/72 vaccine. The results indicated that the A/England/42/72 virus has a broader haemagglutinin reactivity than the A/Hong Kong/68 virus. Some evidence was obtained suggesting that the opposite may be true for the neuraminidase antigens of the two viruses. |
