RESUMEN El estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el interés por la investigación científica en estudiantes de una universidad privada de Paraguay. Se basó en un enfoque cuantitativo, corte transversal y descriptivo. La población lo constituyeron 1.233 estudiantes de tres facultades, con una muestra de 243 (108 Ciencias Empresariales y Tecnología FCEyT; 81 Ciencias Sociales, Jurídicas y Humanidades FCS, JyH y 54 Ciencias de la Salud FCS). Se aplicó una encuesta online con cinco ítems de información básica y 10 preguntas organizados en: conocimiento de las actividades de los investigadores científicos (=3,89); interés en crear conocimientos y tecnología (=4,06); interés en resolver problemas de la carrera que cursan (=4,14), el muestreo fue por conveniencia y se recolectaron los datos en el 2021. Otros resultados muestran en que los estudiantes de FCS, JyH presentaron mayor interés hacia la investigación científica; no hubo diferencias significativas en cuanto al sexo y; la concentración de la media se encuentran en dos ítems: En unos años me veo resolviendo problemas en mi profesión con Media=4.41, DE=0.77 y En unos años me veo creando nuevos conocimientos en mi profesión con Media=4.36, DE=0.75. Se concluye que los universitarios de todas las facultades presentaron altos niveles de interés hacia la investigación científica. ABSTRACT The study aims to analyze the interest in scientific research in students of a private university in Paraguay. It was based on a quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive approach. The population was made up of 1,233 students from three faculties, with a sample of 243 (108 Business Sciences and Technology FCEyT; 81 Social Sciences, Law and Humanities FCS, JyH and 54 Health Sciences FCS). An online survey was applied with five items of basic information and 10 questions organized in: knowledge of the activities of scientific researchers (=3.89); interest in creating knowledge and technology (=4.06); interest in solving problems of the career they are studying (=4.14), the sampling was for convenience and the data was collected in 2021. Other results show that the students of FCS, JyH presented greater interest in scientific research; there were no significant differences regarding sex and; the concentration of the mean is found in two items: In a few years I see myself solving problems in my profession with Mean=4.41, SD=0.77 and In a few years I see myself creating new knowledge in my profession with Mean=4.36, SD=0.75. It is concluded that university students from all faculties presented high levels of interest in scientific research. |
