This research discusses the discourse found in Luthfi Halimawan's YouTube uploads while playing the game "Stumble Guys," which contains a significant amount of verbal abuse in his speech. The use of sentences with verbal abuse elements is quite concerning, considering that the gameplay content of "Stumble Guys" is also watched by minors. In this study, the researcher utilizes a critical paradigm and employs Rodney H. Jones's method of digital discourse analysis. The findings from this digital discourse analysis explain that the video gameplay content uploaded on Luthfi Halimawan's YouTube channel consists of discourse that utilizes sentences with verbal abuse elements to make the content more appealing to its viewers. Luthfi produces content with verbal abuse elements that he uses in the title, clips, highlights, and the overall presentation in order to entertain his audience. |
