Popis: | SUMMARY The lesions of 163 patients with superficial spreading melanoma (SSM) were examined for the presence of erythema, and the lesions with and without erythema were compared. There was no statistically significant correlation with the histological level of invasion (Clark-Mihm), sex or age of the patient, size of the lesion, location of the melanoma, or the presence of local, in transit or regional lymph node metastases. An examination of recurrence rate and patient survival showed that erythema in the lesion of an SSM had no correlation with prognosis. |
