This deliverable reports on the results obtained in tasks 2.1 and 2.2, addressing the first two objectives ofWP2, namely: analyse panels of wheat genotypes in phenotyping platforms to explore the variation of traits influencing resourceavailability, soil exploration and resource use under realistic water and Nlimitations. analyse wheat responses (yield and yield-related traits) to variations of resource availability in anetwork of field trials involving optimal conditions and combined water and N limitations. The corresponding experiments in fields and phenotyping platforms have generated consequent datasets(ca. 500 genotypes of bread and durum wheat altogether, MS18 and MS34) that have been used for geneticanalysis in WP4, for selection of contrasting genotypes in T2.4 and will be used for simulations in WP1 andT2.5. The current deliverable deals with the amplitude of variation for (and correlations between) yield,phenotype and environment data. |
