Popis: | The purpose of the article is to trace and highlight family ties between the Troshchinsky and Leontovych families from Govtva town of the Mirgorod Regiment. Research methods corresponded to this purpose are based on the principles of historicism and objectivity. They presented by general scientific methods of analysis, induction, biographical, psychoanalytic, and especially historical prosopographic method. The scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time the facts of the family ties of the indicated families were analyzed and systematized, as well as new facts to the question of the origin of the Yareskov branch of the Troshchinsky family, which contradict the generally accepted one theory, are given. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that the Troshchinsky family had long maintained ties with the Leontovych family from Govtva. This is confirmed by the facts: 1) the presence of representatives of families as godparents on church sacraments; 2) correspondence conducted by representatives of the Troshchinsky family, where Leontovych was repeatedly mentioned as relatives; 3) cases where representatives of both families helped with the placement for work or for study. The beginning of these family ties was the marriage of Prokip Troshchinsky with Maryna Leontovych. This event occurred shortly after the appearance of the Troshchinsky in the town Yaresky of Mirgorod regiment. Looking at the facts given in the article, before that they lived for some time in mentioned town Govtva. This contradicts the common version of the Troshchinsky pedigree, which is based on A. Lazarevsky and V. Modzalevsky researching. They lead the Yaresky family branch from the sons of military comrade Andrii S. Troshchinsky. The statements and documents are given in the article connect the appearance of Troshchinsky in Yaresky with Ivan and his sons Martyn and Prokop, who moved there in the early 1740s from Govtva. These facts point to the need for further study of the Troshchinsky family before appearing in Yaresky in order to establish more precisely the circumstances of their displacement and ties with other families. {"references":["Bilousko, O.
