Novel Multi charge pump architecture allowing drastic conducted emission reduction on supply lines

Popis: In automotive environment, complexity of Integrated Circuits ICs increased with the integration level. One IC can control many high side and low side switches used for controlling injectors, lighting applications, Antilock Braking Systems ABS, Electronic Stability Program ESP and Airbags. This paper describes a new approach to control multi high side switches avoiding by design an untimely turning ON resulting on huge current peaks during start up phases. By daisy chaining charge pump clocks, the current peak is well reduced resulting on spreading the spectrum which will drastically reduce the conducted emission on supply lines.
