Popis: Recent molecular and cytological studies have greatly advanced our understanding of hyphal tip growth and nuclear migration in filamentous fungi. Mutants involved in various aspects of hyphal tip growth have been isolated. Genes involved in nuclear migration continue to be identified, including putative regulators. The role of microtubules and microtubule motor proteins in hyphal tip growth has also been studied.
