Popis:	Twelve samples of digitoxin have been examined. Little difference was found between them by physical constants or by colorimetric assays using sodium picrate or xanthydrol. Three samples were more potent biologically than the others but the difference is not a simple function of the gitoxin content which ranged from a few per cent to more than 20 per cent.
