Popis: | Easily positioned lead shields for lateral and anteroposterior pelvimetric views are described. It is shown that their use results in a considerable reduction in radiation to the maternal ovaries and to all parts of the foetus while still giving the information required: in fact, the dose to the centre of the foetus is reduced to about one-sixth of that which results from even carefully coned-down exposures. |
