Popis: | In recent years, Multipath TCP [1] has been extensively studied. However, it has been mainly studied for the purpose of bandwidth aggregation or smooth failover during roaming within mobile networks. Interactive real time data for the control of machines is a special case in data transmission as failure tolerance and latency are the important Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. In order to establish reliable network connections with high real time QoS demands, a modified Multipath-TCP scheduling algorithm is being developed, which is not enhancing bandwidth via multiple connections, but enhances reliability and does latency equalization. The algorithm is optimized for interactive real time transmissions by adding redundant packets to multipath connection subflows or rather by mirroring the whole data stream on another subflow. First simulation results using our algorithm show a considerable behavior regarding the equalization of latency peaks. |
