Popis: | Patients admitted to the intensive care unit can be affected by a range of haematological problems, either as a consequence of primary haematological disease or, more commonly, with haematological problems arising as a consequence of other disease processes. The haematological malignancies are individually relatively rare conditions, but collectively account for a significant proportion of cancer diagnoses. This group of conditions may cause patients to become critically ill and require intensive care support for a number of reasons. |
