Today’s realities require many sectors of the economy to make a clear transition to the widespread use of geographic information technology. Therefore, the educational sector needs appropriate changes, which determine the implementation into the educational process of professionally oriented application of GIS technologies for the training of future bachelors of geography. The purpose of the study is to define the features of the use of geographic information technologies in the training of future bachelors of geography. The set of methods of scientific knowledge has been used, namely: comparative analysis to clarify different views on the problem of mastering GIS technologies and determine the direction of the research; identification of software to compare the capabilities of different software; systematization and generalization to formulate conclusions and recommendations. A differential approach has been used when choosing professionally-oriented study material for future bachelors of geography. The ArcGis software as an interactive learning environment for mastering GIS technologies has been chosen in the study, which is used to get acquainted with the structure of modern GIS, the mechanism of its main tools and acquaintance with the probable range of applications and its capabilities. As a result of the implementation of ArcGis-online version the students will be able to work with cartographic materials, namely, digitize maps, depict the objects, lines, polygons, use geographic databases and create thematic maps. This will be a preparatory stage for future professional activity. Materials of scientific work are of great interest to students-geographers, methodists, teachers of geography and lecturers of pedagogical universities. In the future it is planned to open the possibility of implementation of a new version of ArcGis-Pro in the process of training of future bachelors of geography in order to master their level of professional training. |
