Popis: As the global efforts towards energy transition are increasing day by day, the electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular. If the employment of no-emissions cars completely nullifies the CO2 contribution, a green charging infrastructure is required to avoid the feeding from fossil fuels energy. In this context, the DC microgrids are the solution as they can smartly integrate both storage systems and renewable sources in the powering of charging stations. Being large the adoption of nonlinear power electronics in DC microgrids, easy-to-use and efficient tools are requested to simplify the dynamics analyses. By means of a numerical tool, the paper proposes an additional perspective on islanded DC microgrids during the sustainable charging. From a template model, the numerical tool is synthesized to study the voltage transient on DC bus, thus the stability performance. As the template model is replicable, the stability is easily assessed also when the DC microgrid is complex. A cross-check comparison with nonlinear model results certifies the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
