Popis: https://brasiliensis.cerm.org.br/index.php/brasiliensis/article/view/76/version/76 The secularist states come from a gnoseological idealism strongly linked to the self-proclaimed agnostic and atheist thought who says to prescind from religion, because it should not “in any way influence the public or even the exterior conduct of a person”. Based on these considerations, we intend to unveil the initial interrogation, based on human reason and not in faith to reach a common ethics, reflecting especially on four proposals: 1) the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; 2 ) the design of “a global ethic”, to be built through international forums of religions and cultures; 3 ) the positivist model; and 4) the “ethics of discussion” , pointing out some achievements and limitations of each of them.
