Popis: | It is known that cannabis addicts may develop myocardial ischemia and infarction with various possible mechanisms. On the other hand, there are only few published reports on myocardial perfusion imaging in cannabis users with negative coronary angiography. The authors present an unusual case of a 53-year-old cannabis user with a recent myocardial infarction who presented with angina and underwent stress (modified Bruce protocol) –rest myocardial perfusion single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) using Tc-99m tetrofosmin as the radiopharmaceutical. Myocardial SPECT demonstrated extensive findings related to myocardial necrosis and ischemia. The patient underwent coronary angiography, which did not reveal hemodynamically significant stenoses of the coronary arteries. |
