This article discusses the most common ways of language games in the headlines of the media. The main ways of creating language games in the investigated media are metonymic transfer, puns, contamination, addition, replacement and addition of the components of the phraseological units, homonymy and polysemy. In modern journalism, language games are considered an effective way to attract the attention of the audience and are actively used. The results of the experiment and the survey indicated that language games are one of the most effective ways of transmitting information and attracting the attention of readers in the headlines of media texts. |
