| Popis: | Radioactive colloids were used to treat Ehrlich ascites tumor in BALB/c mice to determine the optimum treatment times for control of malignant effusions and the relative efficacy of 32P and 189Au. Both colloids were equally effective in curing mice when given within hours after the injection of Ehrlich's cells. Colloids given on the eighth and fifteenth days after inoculation were not as effective in eradicating the tumor, but did prolong survival. Dose related increases in survival were demonstrated with both colloids; however, the range of therapeutic effectiveness was greater with 198Au. |
