Popis: | Repetitive throwing in the adolescent athlete often leads to long-term problems. Strict pitch counts and limitation of pitches (e.g., curve balls) that place extreme stress on the immature elbow must be monitored closely. And until our outcomes for osteochondritis dissecans of the capitellum in adolescent baseball players improve, it may be wise to counsel those pitchers and catchers who are symptomatic to consider switching to another position or sport. |
