Popis: | The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the global health system. Governments around the world have called for containment to slow the spread of the pandemic. However, this has affected the management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Recent studies in Europe and the United States have reported a reduction of more than 50% in hospital admissions for acute coronary syndromes and a decrease in the rates of coronary interventions. The possible reasons for this reduction are multifactorial. Among which, a more worrying reason would be a "pseudo-reduction" in the incidence of acute coronary syndromes linked to the fear of patients going to hospitals and contracting the infection. |
