Resumo: O presente ensaio fotografico tem o objetivo de convidar o (a) leitor (a) a mergulhar visualmente na realidade de vida cotidiana das familias compulsoriamente deslocadas pelo Projeto Moatize de exploracao de carvao mineral, operado pela multinacional brasileira Vale no distrito de Moatize, Provincia de Tete, regiao central de Mocambique. As imagens resultam de uma pesquisa de campo doutoral realizada na comunidade de Cateme, distrito de Moatize e transcorrem sobre suas vivencias, (r)existencias diante da desestruturacao dos seus modos originais de reproducao social e economica. THE DEVELOPMENT PARADOX: MINING, COMPULSORY DISPLACEMENTS AND DAYLT LIFE IN CATEME, MOATIZE, IN MOZAMBIQUE Abstract: The purpose of this photo essay is to invite the reader to visually immerse himself in the reality of the daily life of families compulsorily displaced by the Moatize Project of mining coal, operated by the Brazilian Multinational Vale in the district of Moatize, Province of Tete, in central Mozambique region. The images are result of a doctoral field research carried out in the community of Cateme, district of Moatize and are related to their experiences, existences, and re-existences due to the disruption of their original modes of social and economic reproduction.
