Popis:	We present a theory of the two-photon ionization and autoionization in aluminum in the uv wavelength range pertaining to recent experimental results [H. Stapelfeldt, P. Balling, and H. K. Haugen, Phys. Rev. A 46, 1177 (1992)]. The calculation is based on Dirac-Fock theory and shows generally good agreement with experiment.
