Popis: | Highlights • Metastatic breast carcinoma rarely spreads to the Gastrointestinal Tract (GIT). • GIT breast carcinoma rarely has triple: ER, PR and HER2-neu negative histology. • We report a case of triple negative breast carcinoma that spread to the jejunum. • This is the first reported case in the U.S. Metastasis from breast carcinoma to the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) is very uncommon. To date, only a few cases have been described worldwide. Of those which do metastasize to the GIT, only estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and HER2-neu receptor positive cancers have been reported and none have been mentioned in the U.S. We report a case of a 70-year-old white female with history of triple negative lobular carcinoma eight years earlier who presented with solitary jejunal mass causing obstruction. |
