Popis: Rationale: Several factors related to the prognosis of COVID-19 have been described Albumin is a nutritional parameter but it’s also known its usefulness as a prognostic factor in several diseases Methods: This is a retrospective observational study of a cohort of 533 hospitalized patients in a tertiary hospital between 1 March 2020 and 15 April 2020 with diagnosis of COVID-19 Laboratory data were collected such as albumin (Normal Values [NV] 3 5-5 2 g/dL) and C reactive protein (CRP, NV 0-5 mg/dL) within 48 hours of admission Clinical outcomes were defined as mortality or admission to an intensive care unit (ICU) Statistics were done using t test, Cox regression and Pearson correlation The aim of the study was to evaluate the relationship between albumin and CRP and the prognosis of COVID-19 In addition, it was studied the relationship between albumin, CRP and other parameters such as hospital stay and age Results: Among the patients who died the mean albumin level was lower in comparison with the survivors group (3 28 +- 0 37 g/dL versus 3 54 +- 0 43 g/dL, p
