Improving the Quality of Graduates Through the Model of Competency-Based Training Modules: Competency Assessors

Popis: Link and match, employability, competency dimension, and competitiveness in vocational education are the main essential aspects in learning achievement according to the needs of the industry. Nevertheless, issues continue to surface, such as the mismatch between education graduates and training with workplace needs, low competitiveness, and low graduate employment. The research method used in this study is Participatory Action Research (PAR), an approach to action research that emphasizes participation and action by members of the public affected by that research. Model development implements the Competency Standard of instructional design system development with steps: mapping of learning objectives, instructional instrument analysis, Development of learning strategies, competency-based training model development, dan validation of instruments by experts. Formative evaluation of the Model Competency-Based Training Module includes one-to-one with experts; One-to-one evaluation with competency assessors; Small Group Evaluation; Field trials with trainees. The main result of this study is a Model of Competency-Based Training Module that integrates employability skills in five competency dimensions. This ModelModel ensures link and match, facilitates learning, and improves graduate quality, including employability, competitiveness, productivity, and workplace requirements. In addition, the Competency-based training module can contribute to vocational training, program developers, trainers, evaluators, assessors, and trainees to improve graduate quality.
