| Popis: | The paper describes an experimental-phonetic approach to the study of speech melody, developed at the Institute for Perception Research (IPO). The advocated method leads to intonation models which are helpful for the interpretation of acoustic and physiological data on pitch in natural speech. It is also a powerful framework for the design of rules for intonation synthesis in a variety of languages. |
