Popis: | In discussions of physician manpower, “maldistribution” often is not defined except in terms of vague socioeconomic theories. A process for defining it in terms of patient access to physicians utilizing conditions sentinel to specialty practice is presented. While only 0.7% of the United States population does not have adequate access to a neurosurgeon, in some states as much as 30% of the population is not served. |
